Thanks to everyone who participated in the Labs21
2007 Annual Conference, which took place October 2-4
in North Charleston, South Carolina. 560 attendees from 14 countries
and four continents took part in the event.
Federal News:
Labs21 Wins 2007 White House Presidential Award!
On November 2, 2007, the White House honored Labs21
with a Presidential
Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management
for its leadership in promoting and improving federal energy management.
Labs21 was one of just five energy management teams to receive this
national award. Read more about

Reducing Federal Energy Use
The National Renewable
Energy Laboratory's Science and Technology Facility in Golden,
Colorado, becomes the first Federal building and the first Labs21
Partner to receive LEED® Platinum certification!

Selected abstracts from the Labs21
2007 Annual Conference have been extended and featured in the
November 2007 issue of R&D Magazine's Laboratory Design
Handbook. Of these extended abstracts, several were expanded upon
even further and these papers have been added to I2SL's

An article by Labs21 Community members Otto Van Geet and Susan
Reily will be featured in The
HVAC&R Industry, a free weekly newsletter published
by ASHRAE for HVAC&R professionals. The article focus on ventilation heat
recovery in laboratories and incorporates the Labs21
Approach.
