Ensuring a secure, safe facility can be challenging, especially in the face of complex interactions related to mechanical systems, construction, and design. This half-day workshop explores the limitations associated with design and HVAC systems in protecting occupants in the event of the release of a chemical or biological agent and how such practices meet the goals of Labs21. Issues related to the physical and human response characteristics of various chemical and biological agents will also be presented.
