Tommy Adkisson was elected Bexar County Commissioner, Precinct Four, on November 3, 1998, and has since established himself as a leader in his community. Named as one of the “Top Ten” Legislators by the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, he is involved in the Bexar County Health Facilities Development Corporation, Housing Finance Corporation, Industrial Development Corporation, and Watersheds Committee. He is a member of the Alamo Workforce Development Committee and the San Antonio Family Lawyers Association, and is Founder, Past President, and recently Vice-President of the Highland Hills Neighborhood Association. He is currently chair of Commissioners Court Jail Population Committee and of the Bexar County Task Force on the Courthouse Gondeck Edition Renovation.
