the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 2005), was signed into law
by President George W. Bush on August 8, 2005.

Presidential Memorandum
On September 26, 2005, President Bush issued a Presidential Memorandum,
which calls on federal agencies to conserve energy and fuel during
this year's winter heating season, which occurs from November 1,
2005, through April 30, 2006. View a

Labs21 and EPAct 2005
To provide a more detailed summary of EPAct 2005, the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy co-hosted a breakfast
session at the Labs21
2005 Annual Conference, entitled, Federal
Roundtable: Labs21 and the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The
roundtable was a forum for open discussion concerning the opportunities
for, and challenges of, meeting the requirements of EPAct 2005,
