Sonoma State University
Sonoma State University (SSU) plans to incorporate energy-efficient
and environmentally-friendly design strategies into the remodeling
of an existing science building on campus. SSU has set energy and
environmental performance goals that exceed Title 24 by thirty percent.
The University would like assistance with engineering, design, and
review in their attempt to reach these high performance goals. As
part of this effort, SSU hopes to apply the Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory’s low-flow fume hoods and underfloor variable air
volume strategies, which would help the science building achieve
a high rating using the Labs21 Environmental Performance Criteria.
